Company bio’s
Jasper Cloete
A Businessman in various energy sectors and environmentalist in his free time. Being part of (CEO) a company that developed a clean coal technology successfully, owned a Biomass Pellet plant that exported pellets internationally, Imports Organic Rankine Cycle units from Norway and Spain to South Africa, build the Solar market for Dutch Group in South Africa. In all his projects he made sure the local communities reaped the direct benefit from the projects / facilities.
Was Chairman of Space for Elephant Foundation and trustee from 2004 to 2020 when Covid closed the
organisation down. Now he is busy resurrecting the environmental group
Rowan Everts
Rowan Everts is Project Manager at Viking Energy Development Africa (Pty) Ltd with 6 years of experience
in the renewable energy sector. With a background in hydraulics and thermodynamics, he specializes
resource optimization for thermal and electrical energy systems.
Rowan has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic engineering from the University of Stellenbosch and has
spent the last 4 years developing smart energy systems and has recently joined the team at VEDA. He has also recently completed his Solar Power Designer for Commercial certificate with CPD accreditation by the South Africa Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE).
Being a strong believer in the energy transition and the direct impact this will have and everyone’s lives in the coming years, Rowan is passionate about the optimization of our current energy solutions and
dedicated to balance his efforts between project leadership and developing new solutions for the industry.
